Here are some races that i have created for my game.

Grunner.

Grunner.

Grunners are a race of beings that come from a world of extreme temperatures. There year is dived into three sessions the first session ‘Charr” is similar to winter yet with temperature
Diving way below freezing. After “Charr” comes “Fingle” were the temperature heats up for 2 months at a rapid rate finally becoming “Hilgar” an extreme summer. The erratic temperature has resulted in the inhabitants becoming incredibly durable. Their smooth hairless grey skin looks at first appearance soft yet it consist of dozens of layers making it
Very resilient to damage.

Grunner society is similar to ancient Japan, various countries and lands will have a lord whose family become he next in line to be lord. Grunners follow a warrior code similar to the ancient samurai. Where each lord will have several top warriors with him/her at all time.

Once clans have been established Grunners are loyal and will defend the clan to the death.
In battle they prefer melee combat as opposed to ranged weapons; however they can be just a skilled in ranged combat as any other race.

Senses
Gunners have vision similar to humans however they do not see colors only white, grays and blacks of different shades. Grunners also have excellent night vision and have a limited thermal vision, seeing the body heat of others at night or in darkness.
Grunner voice box is smaller than humans and as a result Grunners have a high pitched tone.

Attitudes.

Grunners are generally quiet as a whole, preferring to let there actions speak rather than words. In combat they are spectacular to watch. There incredible agility makes them methodical fighters and appears cold and emotionless.
Honor and loyalty are the status quo for grunners with traitors and dishonorable Grunners hunted and killed. Since becoming space fairing beings they have spread across the galaxy and established other colonies on various other planets. Most Grunners that have left their clans or being dishonored in combat seek out other careers as warriors for hire. Roinis warriors without masters.

Grunners view all other races as undisciplined rouges without honor, yet they seem to associate with yazzarins more than others races.

Grunners have a life pledge belief toward other races. Believing themselves better than the other races, if a Grunners live is saved by a non-Grunner then they feel they must not rest until the dept is repaid. This usually results in other races being lumbered with an unwanted companion.

Appearance.

Grunners stand on average 4-5ft tall and are of slim muscular build weighting on average 35-50kg. They have gray to black skin, Female Grunners are distinguished by not having a long tail extending from their head. Grunners have large blank eyes that have thick protective lenses covering them.
Grunners have three fingers and a thumb on each hand and three toes on each foot.
Tiny pads on there hands and feet allow grunners to effortlessly climb and cling to almost any surface. This is a result of the icy coating that happens in their winter time.

Special abilities

Night vision (normal range)
Thermal vision 120FT
Adhesion. Grunners can climb and cling to almost any surface.
Unless the surface is slick with oil or something similar Grunners can move about on any surface strong enough to support their weight.

These are some fairly well thought out races. The bit about the Gruners vision is especially good. Perhaps the Tarr'll should have great difficulty with sharp rocky or desert terrain. Maybe a minus to movement or a vastly increased need for water in arid cinditions. The limited thermal (emphasis on limited) and lack of color vision is very good. Rather than a bonus on the Initiatave (Tarr'll) roll there could be a suprise bonus, e.g., suprised only 15% of the time. Other wise great work in keeping with the general flavor of the core rules. Very Happy

The Grunner is a bit too similiar to Japanese people, and the Tar'll? They are just exactley much like Eragon's, and Tolkien's elves. Not to also mention that they look like the bad guys from Dragon Ball Z.
